Alexa Back

Hello!
Alexa Back is a New York–based director and producer whose work focuses on comedy, grief, and queerness. A 2025 graduate of Emerson College with a B.F.A. in Media Arts Production and a minor in Journalism, she has produced multiple short films, including "Something's Wrong With Kit," (2025) an official selection of Boston Short Film Festival, Big Apple Film Festival, Junk Dump at MOMI, and Sick Chick Flicks. Her proof-of-concept short film "Bunk Beds" was awarded the Andrea Montoni Catalyst Film Fund. Beyond film, Alexa’s commitment to queer storytelling extends into her journalism, with published articles featuring prominent queer activists like Stacy Lentz and the Lesbian Bar Project. She’s currently in post production for two short films and pre-production for one.
